Rapid growth in data storage needs is driving enterprises, and small and medium-sized businesses toward tiered storage strategies. This, in turn, is forcing a requirement for more cost-effective and larger capacity storage systems. Products based on recently ratified standards, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA), are enabling technologies for building storage system architectures that meet these new cost and capacity needs.
Ray Jang is a Product Manager of PMC-Sierra's Enterprise and Storage Division. Mr. Jang brings over 12 years of experience in product management, marketing, systems architecture and engineering of equipment and ICs for storage, data communications and telecommunications markets.
Larrie Carr is a Principal Engineer of PMC-Sierra's Enterprise and Storage Division.
